CONCOURS  INTERNATIONAL DE  MUSIQUE SLAVE



1.1. The Slav Music International Competition
will be held in Normandy


This is very nice placement close to river Seine, were you can find the theatre, library, bar, cafe-restaurant, 10 pianos, comfortable houses, park, in short, everything for good work and rest.

1.2. The competition is open to three categories of pianists:

A - to 9 years old, 
B - to 14 years old,
C - from 14 to 18 years old.

1.3. All the necessary documents and the Application form must be sent via E-mail to : moniuszko_assoc@yahoo.fr no later than 15 May, 2009.

The Following documents are requested:

1. Completed and signed detailed Application Form and the Repertoire List, on the provided forms (please name the composers, works with opuses, keys.
2. Certificate of Birth or Passport (page showing the applicant's age) - copies.
3. The Music Diploma (copy) or the paper from the musical institution (for those continuing studies).
4.Recommandation  from  the music school, a professor, or a well-know  musician.
5. Brief CV detailing the applicant’s musical activity (education, teachers, awards at the competitions and festivals, concert and recording sessions). Please add published references if possible.
6. Two recent black-white glossy photos (13 x 18 cm).

1.4. All applicants will be notified by 15 May, 2009 if they are accepted to perform in the competition.

The applicant is obliged inform the Organizing Committee on his arrival (date, train/flight N). The Organizing Committee will not return any documents.

1.5. The applicant is not allowed to make changes in the stated program.

1.6. The Entrance Fee must be send to association's bank.

For group A - 30 euros, for B and C - 6O euros. The entrance fee is not returned.

2.  FINANCIAL REGULATIONS :

2.1. The competitor covers every expense (two-way trip, accommodation).

2.2 The competitors from abroad provide passports and French visas on their own expense. The Organizing Committee provides the Official Invitation and the competitor gets it in the French Embassy/Consulate.

2.3. The Organizing Committee assists the competitor and accompanying persons in accommodation services and attending the competition events. For this full services (accommodation, 3 daily meals, piano for work) participant must pay 850 euros, include entrance fee (No other formulas are available).  

3. AUDITIONS:

3.1. The auditions are open to the general public and consist of one round in any Group.

3.2. All works are performed by heart.

3.3. During the competition the participants perform strictly according the planning (which takes place before the competition's opening).

3.4. The competitor is provided a   20-minute acoustic rehearsal (in the concert hall).

3.5. The Jury decisions are final.

3.6. The Jury is allowed to limit the participant if the stated time of audition is exceeded or if the result is clear to all the Jury members.

3.7. The laureates and diplomats are requested to take part in the Closing Concert and other concerts planned by the Organizing Committee.

3.8. The rights for broadcasting and audio/video recording and distributing of the competition belong to the Organizing Committee.

Category C
-First prize:……… 1000€
-second prize:……..750€
-Third prize:………. 400€

The Committee has the right :
o Not to distribute all prizes
o To share the prizes between competitors
Others prizes can be offer by public or private sponsors

Free program for 12 min. from pieces by Slav composers.

 
Group B
Program for 20 min.   by Slav composers.
